LUCENA CITY — Police arrested Wednesday three drug suspects, seized two illegal firearms and P95,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in Bacoor City in Cavite and Binangonan town in Rizal province.
The Calabarzon police reported that anti-narcotics agents collared Jess Vergel Joaquin and Richard Peña after the duo sold at around 5:30 p.m. a pack of shabu to an undercover cop at Barangay Molino 4 in Bacoor.
Investigators said the suspects yielded five sachets of meth worth P88,400 from a tactical bag that contained a .45-caliber pistol loaded with seven bullets.
In Binangonan, police nabbed Jefferson Santuyo in another buy-bust operation around 9 p.m. in Barangay Darangan.
Authorities seized two sachets of meth worth P6,800.
Police also found the suspect carrying a .45-caliber pistol loaded with two bullets.
The three suspects were detained and charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, gun laws, and election gun ban.
