MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – The province of Aurora registered zero new COVID-19 cases again as its active cases plunged to 55 from 146 within two weeks.
In its latest update on Wednesday (Feb. 2), the Aurora Emergency Operations Center said 15 patients have recovered from the viral disease and that no deaths were registered.
It was on Jan. 19 when the coastal province logged zero new cases while its active cases stood at 121 at that time.
Data from the provincial government showed that Maria Aurora town has the most active cases at 29, followed by the capital town of Baler (18) and Dipaculao (3).
Three of the active COVID-19 cases in the province were admitted to a hospital while the 52 others were under quarantine.
The towns of Dilasag and Casiguran were still free of COVID-19.
Aurora has registered a total of 4,129 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of these, 3,833 had recovered while 241 had died.
The province is currently under COVID-19 Alert Level 3.
