Quezon drug suspects fall in Lucena

LUCENA CITY – A drug suspect was arrested while some P18,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) was seized in a buy-bust operation in this city on Wednesday (Feb. 2) night.

Lt. Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, Lucena police chief, identified the suspect as Frederick Abdon, 43, who has been tagged by the police as a street-level shabu peddler in the locality.

Abdon was nabbed by anti-narcotics agents at 9:38 p.m. during a sting operation in Barangay Gulang-Gulang.

An undercover police officer acted as a drug user and managed to buy a sachet of shabu from the suspect.

Abdon was found carrying five plastic sachets of shabu worth P18,927 in the street market.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives got wind of his illegal activities from other drug pushers who were previously arrested, jailed and rehabilitated.
