MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the nomination of Ryan Alvin Rivera Acosta as commissioner of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Senator Cynthia Villar, the chairperson of the CA committee on constitutional commissions and offices, endorsed the nomination of Acosta to the plenary.

“Truly, Mr. Acosta is a living proof of hard work, determination and proper education that are keys to success,” Villar said in her speech.

“Mr. Acosta’s sterling career at such a young age also proves that our public education system produces exemplary men and women who choose to serve our country with distinction,” she added.

The CA unanimously adopted the endorsement.

Before the plenary session, the panel deliberated on and recommended the approval of Acosta’s nomination as CSC commissioner for a term expiring on Feb. 2, 2027.
