MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Four more infants and seven children contracted COVID-19 in Tarlac, the provincial government disclosed on Feb. 1.
The infants include a 1-month-old boy from Concepcion town who tested positive for the viral disease on Sunday and was confined to a hospital. He had mild symptoms.
A 5-month-old boy from Tarlac City, who had mild symptoms, was also confined in a hospital after contracting COVID-19 on Jan. 29
Two 1-year-old boys, both with mild symptoms, from Concepcion and Mayantoc, tested positive for the viral disease and were confined in medical facilities.
Seven children aged 2 to 8 years old from Tarlac City, Concepcion, Capas, La Paz, Moncada, and Bamban towns also contracted COVID-19 and had shown mild to moderate symptoms. Five of them were confined in hospitals, while two were under quarantine.
They were among the 99 latest COVID-19 cases in the province.
Since the pandemic began in 2020, the province has registered 22,647 COVID-19 cases. Of these, 20,927 had recovered, while 849 had died.
Tarlac and the rest of Central Luzon, except Bulacan, are under Alert Level 3 until Feb. 15.
