Online job site offers services in Facebook

DEVELOPERS of online job site iTrabaho.com has tapped Facebook.

John Kim of New Media Group said that an iTrabaho App was available in Facebook starting last Monday.

The application or App is a service and tool built to run on smartphones, computer tablets and Facebook.

Kim said officials of the New Media Group developed and launched the online job site last August, saw a spike in visitors in their site after the iTrabaho App was launched.

“From over 500 unique visitors before the App it spiked to 1,012 unique visitors as of this morning (Feb. 29), which only shows that it is indeed effective for people,” said Kim.

Once you log on to Facebook, you can search iTrabaho App in the search box. The App page shows the current job postings in the site.

“All they need to do is input the information asked when signing up to apply. When they send the application a text message will be sent to the employer just like applying directly from our website iTrabaho.com,” said Kim.

At present, 414 employers registered and posted jobs in iTrabaho, which includes companies from outside Cebu like Leyte, Bohol and Quezon City.

They also have a database of about 15,000 jobseekers in their site.

“Call center jobs are the most searched job in our site followed by marketing and sales, nursing and IT (information technology) jobs,” said Kim.

Kim said that iTrabaho is the first job site that has fully integrated with Facebook./Reporter Aileen Garcia-Yap
