73% Zambales target population now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 73 percent of the target population in this province had been fully inoculated against COVID-19 as of Sunday (Jan. 30), according to the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

In its latest tally, the PHO said 330,168 of the province’s 454,730 eligible residents have completed their primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine. Zambales has a population of 649,615.

The same data showed that 370,707 other residents had received their first shot and were waiting for the second dose of the vaccine while 25,158 residents already got their booster shots.

Healthcare workers are also conducting village-based mass vaccination to help them achieve herd immunity against COVID-19.

Since 2020, the province has logged 11,161 COVID-19 cases, 404 of which remained active, 10,512 had recovered and 627 had died. INQ
