MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon, locally known as the amihan, will continue to bring overcast skies and rain over the Cagayan valley, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Bukas mararamdaman pa rin ang epekto ng amihan sa nakakaraming bahagi ng Northern Luzon, magiging maulap na may mahinang pag ulan sa Cagayan Valley,” said Pagasa senior weather specialist Chris Perez.
(By tomorrow, the effects of the northeast monsoon will still be felt in most parts of Northern Luzon, where it will be cloudy with light rain in Cagayan Valley.)
“Maulap naman na may mga pagulan at pagkidlat at pagkulog sa silangang bahagi ng Central and Southern Luzon,” he added.
(Meanwhile, it will be cloudy with rain and lightning and thunder in the eastern part of Central and Southern Luzon.)
Perez also said that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience fairer weather with chances of isolated rains in the evening and afternoon.
The rest of Visayas and the Mindanao, on the other hand, will have hotter and more humid weather but will likewise experience isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
No storm is expected to affect or form within the country’s area of responsibility in the next two to three days, said Perez.
