Lyceum downs UC

THE UNIVERSITY of Cebu Webmasters faltered in the 64th National Students Basketball Championships after they were defeated by the Lyceum University of the Philippines-Manila, 74-81, in the ongoing elimination round yesterday in Dagupan City.

The Webmasters, two-time reigning champions of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc., had their record diminish to 4-2 (win-loss). Their other loss was against the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals.

The Webmasters were still battling the undefeated Jose Maria College of Davao as of this writing. The champion of this tournament will represent the country in the 9th Asian University Basketball Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia later this year. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
