Nomination for Jr. NBA Coach of the Year opens

CEBU’S best basketball coaches could be in the running for the 2012 Jr. NBA Coach of the Year to be presented by the Jr. NBA, the National Basketball Association’s international basketball program which aims to develop the game at the youth level.
The Jr. NBA is in its fifth year in the country and now offers to highlight not just the players, but also the coaches who will get to have an authentic NBA experience along with the Jr. NBA All-Star team.
The chosen Jr. NBA coach of the year will sit as assistant coach when the All-Star members play against other Jr. NBA teams from Asia at the end of the program.
Players, school officials, fellow coaches, peers and individuals have to nominate a coach whom they feel is deserving of the award. Judging will be based on the nominees’ commitment to coaching over the past 12 months.
Nominations for the 2012 Jr. NBA Coach of the Year award presented by Alaska is now open. It is free of charge and can be done online at www.jrnba.com.ph.
