MANILA, Philippines — The shear line will bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers to parts of Northern Luzon on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa said the shear line, the convergence of the northeast monsoon or “amihan” and easterlies, will bring cloudy skies along with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, and Cagayan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Meanwhile, Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said the low pressure area outside the Philippine area of responsibility will no longer affect the country.
“’Yung LPA na nasa labas ng PAR ay hindi natin inaasahang makakaapekto ito sa ating bansa, kaya possibly na sa nalalabing bahagi ng ating bansa, for the next few days, ay makakaranas pa rin ng magandang panahon, kasama ang Metro Manila,” he said.
(The LPA outside PAR is not expected to affect the weather in the country, so it is possible that the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience fair weather in the next few days.)
