'Car thief' in Zambales nabbed after 6 years in hiding—police

OLONGAPO CITY — After six years of hiding in Bulacan province, a suspected car thief from Zambales province was arrested on Thursday (Jan. 27), police said.

Col. Fitz Macariola, police provincial director, identified the suspect as 38-year-old Albert San Pedro, alias “Beka”.

San Pedro was arrested in Barangay Banga 1st in Plaridel town, Bulacan by virtue of an arrest warrant released on Jan. 28, 2016 by Judge Raymond Viray of Olongapo Regional Trial Court for carnapping with P180,000 bail.

The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of San Marcelino police station.
