90% of Olongapo's target now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY—About 90 percent of the target eligible population in this city had already been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, local data showed on Friday, Jan. 28.

According to the City Health Office, at least 162, 093 residents of the city or 89 percent of the target 182,000 population for herd immunity had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. These include 13, 835 residents who were given the single-dose Janssen vaccine.

At least 171, 673 more residents had received their first dose of the vaccine and were waiting to complete their primary series of the jab.

Healthcare workers in the city had also administered 13, 472 COVID-19 booster shots to frontliners.

As of Thursday, the city’s active COVID-19 cases stood at 482 after recording 74 new recoveries and 54 new infections.
