32 more Central Luzon cops beat COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY—The number of active COVID-19 cases among policemen in Central Luzon went down after 32 of them recovered from COVID-19, data from regional police office showed on Friday (Jan. 28).

According to regional police’s health service, the newly recovered policemen raised to 3,448 the number of COVID recoveries among its workforce, bringing the number of active cases down to 157.

The Central Luzon police’s active COVID-19 infections stood at 171 the previous day.

Data also showed that 19 more regional policemen had contracted the virus on Thursday (Jan. 27), raising to 3,613 the police office’s total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic struck in 2020.

The Central Luzon police’s COVID-19 death toll still stood at eight with no new fatalities in recent days.
