More than half of Aurora population now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — At least 126,421 residents composing 53.6 percent of Aurora’s total population have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, data from the provincial government on Friday showed.
The coastal province has a population of 235,750 based on the 2020 national census.
Some 13,952 residents have had their first dose of the vaccines and have yet to receive their second dose.
As of January 27, Maria Aurora town has the most fully vaccinated residents at 25,323, followed by the capital town of Baler (24,815), and Dipaculao (17,671).
The provincial government said a total of 14,089 booster shots have been administered to fully vaccinated residents as of Thursday.
Article continues after this advertisementOn the same day, Aurora registered 24 new COVID-19 cases, 12 recoveries, and two deaths. The fatalities were residents of Baler and Casiguran.

Aurora has recorded a total of 4,071 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of these, 3,728 had recovered while 241 had died.
