2-day anti-drug operation nets P1M ‘shabu’ in Pampanga
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––At least 11 suspected drug peddlers were arrested, and about P1 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) were seized during a two-day anti-narcotics operation in the province, the Police Regional Office 3 disclosed on Friday, Jan. 28.
Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Central Luzon police director, said Pampanga police arrested eight suspects, while Angeles City police nabbed three in buy-bust operations from Jan. 26 to 27.
In Dau village in this city, provincial and local police arrested Alfredo Segundo Jr., 30, and John Mar Palencia, 29, and allegedly seized from the duo 55 grams of shabu worth P374,000.
In Santa Maria village, also in this city, operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Nueva Ecija, and Mabalacat police arrested Nomer Rivera, 49; Ervino Torres, 44; Jeffrey Nicdao, 31; Bryan Kate Gundayao, 20; and Jorey Cauguiran, 44, in a buy-bust operation. Authorities allegedly recovered 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000 from the suspects.
San Fernando City and provincial police arrested Amina Carsada, 43, who allegedly yielded some 60 grams of shabu with a street value of P408,000 in a buy-bust operation in Telabastagan village.
In Angeles City, police arrested Louie Langamon, 40; Mark Laurence Sampang, 28; and Lorence Alexis Manalastas, 27, in a buy-bust operation that allegedly resulted in the confiscation of 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000.
