BACOLOD CITY — Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has recovered from COVID-19 and resumed work from home on Tuesday, January 25.
“The governor signed checks, contracts and other documents,” said Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.
The governor and 25 provincial government employees were infected with COVID-19 which led to the lockdown of the capitol in Bacolod City. It will reopen on Monday, January 31.
The number of COVID-19 positive cases at the capitol increased after two Office of the Provincial Agriculturist employees tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Diaz said a lawyer at the Provincial Legal Office was also reactive to a Rapid Antigen Test, while other provincial employees were waiting for their swab test results.
