ZAMBOANGA CITY, Zamboanga del Sur–Vice President Leni Robredo pins her hope for a victory in the presidential race to the ability of campaigners to overcome disinformation and provide the people with the correct information.

“The journey is more than just campaigning; the journey is really about going out of our own circles and reaching out to those who are not yet with us. In convincing them (to be with us), we need to ensure that the information they are getting is true and correct,” Robredo, speaking in a mix of English and Filipino, told local volunteers gathered at the Leni-Kiko Volunteer Center in Barangay Guiwan after it was officially launched on Monday night.

“This is the age of disinformation and we are bombarded with so much propaganda. That is why I ask of you to spread radical love (instead),” Robredo said.

“I am excited to fight alongside all of you. There’s a lot of opportunity to transform the country. Let us make sure, we are always on the side of the truth,” she added.
