MANILA, Philippines — A 54 year old woman died in a fire that broke out in a residential area in Parañaque, said the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Sunday.
The BFP in its report identified the victim as a certain Evelynn Gillo Chiong.
According to the BFP, the victim’s house in Multinational Village Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque City was the only one that burned in the incident, which was declared an alert level one fire at around 10:54 p.m. on Saturday.
The fire lasted for more than half an hour before it was declared extinguished at 11:29 p.m.
The cause of the fire, meanwhile, is still being investigated.
Apart from the reported death, no other injuries were reported but a total of three individuals were affected by the fire.
Total damage caused by the fire was estimated to be worth P200,000, said the BFP.
