LPA to bring rain and cloudy skies over Visayas, Mindanao on Monday — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) located east of Surigao del Sur will bring overcast skies and rain over the entire Visayas and Mindanao on Monday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

According to Pagasa senior weather specialist Chris Perez, the LPA was last spotted 325 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

(Expect cloudy skies, scattered rain, lightning and thunder throughout Visayas and Mindanao due to the trough of the low pressure area.)

Luzon, including Metro Manila, on the other hand, will experience generally fair weather.

(Except here in the Bicol region where we expect it to be cloudy with rain, lightning and thunder.)
