Woman dies after falling from cliff in Batangas
MANILA, Philippines — A woman died Wednesday after falling from a cliff in Batangas, a provincial police spokesman said Thursday.
The victim, identifiedas Diana Urbano Fajardo, 27, hiked to Mt. Batulao at Sitio (sub-village)Malusak, Barangay (village) Kaylaway, Nasugbu, with five others around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday when she allegedly lost control while taking pictures and fell 250 feet from Peak 8 of Mt. Batulao, Superintendent Barnard Danie Dasugo said.
He said Fajardo died on the spot after landing on a rocky part of the mountain.
The victim sustained”intracranial hemorrhage due to traumatic head injury with multiple hematomas and abrasion” in different parts of her body, Dasugo said.
Fajardo’s remains now lie at St. Peter Funeral Chapel in Sitio Sagbat, Barangay (village) Lumbangon, Nasugbu.
