2 drug suspects yield P350K ‘shabu’ in Laguna

‘AWOL soldier,’ 1 other nabbed for shabu in QCLUCENA CITY––Police arrested two drug suspects and seized P350,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation Thursday, Jan. 20, in San Pedro City, Laguna province.

The Calabarzon police reported Friday that anti-illegal drugs operatives at 9:49 a.m. arrested Gilbert Gabatin and his companion, Mary Grace Lorona, after selling P2,000 worth of shabu to undercover police in Barangay San Antonio.

Police said the suspects yielded 10 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams worth P350,000 in the street market.

The suspects were detained and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
