Cagayan gov, wife recover from COVID-19

Cagayan COVID-19 casesTUGUEGARAO CITY––Cagayan Gov. Manuel Mamba and his wife Mabel were discharged Thursday, Jan. 20, from Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) after recovering from COVID-19.

Rogelio Sending Jr., Cagayan provincial information officer, said the couple’s reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests yielded positive results on Jan. 15.

The couple will finish their quarantine in four days at their home in the province as they urged villagers to continue observing health protocols.

Dr. Carlos Cortina III, provincial health officer, also tested positive for COVID-19 based on his RT-PCR test on Thursday.
