MANILA, Philippines — Three more aspirants were added Thursday to the senatorial line-up of the tandem of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio who are running for president and vice-president, respectively in the coming polls.
Marcos’ spokesperson Vic Rodriguez said added in the tandem’s slate are Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri, House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta, and lawyer Larry Gadon.
They now join seven other senatorial candidates in the tandem’s Senate slate:
Senator Sherwin Gatchalian
Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque
Former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista
Former senator Jinggoy Estrada
Former Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro
Former Public Works Secretary Mark Villar
Antique Rep. Loren Legarda
“The list represents a mixture of seasoned and proven political personalities who have excelled in their respective endeavors,” Rodriguez said in a statement.
Zubiri was also included as a guest candidate in the senatorial line-ups of Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Panfilo Lacson, and Senator Manny Pacquiao who are all running for president.
