Pagasa: Isolated rain showers expected in most parts of PH

MANILA, Philippines — Isolated rain showers due to the shear line and the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan,” will prevail in most parts of the country on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

(The shear line affects the entire Mindanao while the northeast monsoon or amihan is prevailing over Luzon and Visayas.)

The “amihan” will bring cloudy skies and rain showers to Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains likewise caused by the “amihan.”

A gale warning was hoisted over the eastern seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao.

(Fishermen, especially those using small vessels are advised against setting sail.)
