CITY OF MALOLOS–The Bulacan State University (BulSU) will implement a weeklong “health break” for 40,000 students, faculty members, staff, and non-academic personnel.
Cecilia Gascon, BulSU president, issued a memorandum Friday for the break from Jan. 17 to 23 to give its students and employees a chance to take time off amid their growing health concerns.
During the break, the teachers and staff members would get paid, and the students would be freed from workload, Gascon said.
Gascon said the result of a recent survey by the BulSU infirmary showed a rapid increase in the number of BulSU teachers, personnel, and students contracting flu, colds, and other ailments.
Intensive cleaning and disinfection of all campuses would be carried out during the break, Gascon said.
