OLONGAPO CITY––At least 43 more police personnel in Central Luzon have contracted COVID-19, the highest single-day tally by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) since the pandemic struck.
The new infections raised to 344 the active COVID-19 cases among the regional police workforce, data from the PRO3 health service showed Friday, Jan. 14.
It was also the highest number of active cases among the PRO3 personnel since 2020.
No new recoveries or deaths related to the viral disease were registered on the same day.
The PRO3 has registered 3,226 COVID-19 cases, with 2,875 recoveries and seven deaths.
