P1.2M ‘shabu’ seized in Central Luzon; close to 400 offenders nabbed

OLONGAPO CITY – Police in Central Luzon seized at least P1.2 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from more than 100 suspects during weeklong anti-criminality operations, authorities said Wednesday, Jan. 12.

The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) stated that the illegal drugs were placed in 236 sachets and weighed 97 grams. These were seized from Jan. 3 to 9.

Also seized were 53 sachets of marijuana weighing 94 grams and valued at P19,497.

The 122 drug suspects were among the 394 arrested for various offenses, including those with standing warrants for murder, rape, and frustrated murder.

The PR03 said 139 of those arrested were due to illegal gambling and violation of special laws.
