MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or amihan is gaining strength, causing cooler weather in most parts of Luzon on Tuesday, the state weather bureau reported.
(At present, we expect the northeast monsoon to gain strength, prevailing and affecting Luzon where we see cooler weather in many parts of Luzon.)
Despite the strengthening of the northeast monsoon, the entire country is expected to have a fair weather condition on Tuesday.
The northeast monsoon would only bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies.
Meanwhile, Pagasa raised gale warning in the seaboards of Batanes and Babuyan Islands which will experience moderate to very rough seas with 1.5 to 4.5 meters of waves due to the northeast monsoon.
