Fair Sunday weather nationwide — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The entire country is expected to have fair weather on Sunday even as easterlies and northeast monsoon or “amihan” prevail in different parts of the country, the state weather bureau said Saturday.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies.
Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario said there is no tropical depression that is expected to develop in the next three days.
“Typhoon free tayo hanggang sa susunod na linggo,” Ordinario said in a public weather forecast. (We are typhoon free until next week.)
Meanwhile, Pagasa raised a gale warning in the seaboards of Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, and the Northern Coast of Ilocos Norte due to the northeast monsoon. The said areas will experience rough sea conditions with 2.8 to 4.0 meters of waves.
