Karen Davila says she and her family contracted COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Broadcast journalist Karen Davila said she and her family tested positive for COVID-19.
Davila made the announcement during her interview Friday with health reform advocate Dr. Tony Leachon in ABS-CBN’s Headstart.
“I think it’s the perfect opportunity for me to also share with the public that my own family tested positive for COVID. We are COVID positive after we arrived from the holidays this coming new year,” she said at the start of the interview.
Davila said her family is recovering from the disease.
“We are recovering quite well but many families could be suffering as they quarantine from home,” she added.
In December last year, Davila appealed to her fellow parents to have their kids protected from COVID-19 by getting them vaccinated.
She stressed the importance of vaccination as she shared on Instagram photos and a video of her children David and Lucas getting vaccinated.
