Pagasa: Fair Friday weather in most parts of PH

MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather will prevail in most parts of the country on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa said the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan,” and the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, are affecting the weather in the Philippines.

(Currently, the northeast monsoon affects the northern Luzon while easterlies affects the rest of the country. Because of these two weather systems, a large portion of the country will experience fair weather.)

Based on Pagasa’s forecast, Batanes will have cloudy skies and rain showers due to the northeast monsoon.

The Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have good weather, with partly cloudy skies to cloudy skies and chances of isolated light rains only.
