No individuals skipping quarantine have been apprehended by the police during an inspection of quarantine hotels all over the country.
A report from the Philippine National Police on Thursday said that so far, it was able to check 367 or 90 percent of the 408 quarantine hotels accredited by the Department of Health, the Bureau of Quarantine and the Department of Tourism as of Jan. 4.
Of the 9,033 individuals supposed to be housed in these facilities, mostly returning or outbound overseas Filipino workers, all were accounted for, the PNP said.
In the National Capital Region which has the most number of quarantine hotels among regions nationwide, all 6,736 persons supposed to be housed in 119 hotels were present. —DEXTER CABALZA
