MANILA, Philippines — The Court of Appeals has extended its work suspension to two more days – until January 7 to allow coronavirus testing and contact tracing.

In an Office Order, Presiding Justice Remedios Salazar-Fernando said the extension of work suspension was upon consultation with Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo and based on the latest update from the Medical and Dental Services (MDS).

“Numerous employees tested positive for COVID-19 and that testing and contact tracing efforts are still ongoing,” the Office Order states.

The Supreme Court has also extended its work suspension to give way for “massive testing” until January 8.
