MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather will prevail throughout the country on Thursday, except in southern portion of Mindanao due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

However, isolated light rain should be expected in Northern Luzon, while thunderstorms are possible in Bicol Region and Mimaropa.

(The southern portion of Mindanao will experience widespread rain, lightning and thunder caused by the ITCZ.)

But the rest of Mindanao as well as the entire Visayas will experience generally clear skies with hotter temperatures during noontime, and the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Clauren also said that no storms or low pressure areas are forecast to affect the country in the next three to five days.
