Pampanga’s active COVID-19 cases back to 100-mark
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The provincial government on Tuesday recorded 63 new COVID-19 cases, as the viral disease continues to re-infect Pampanga’s 21 localities.
The latest bulletin from the provincial epidemiology and surveillance unit shows Pampanga’s active cases stand at 123. No new recoveries and deaths were registered on Tuesday.
The data also showed that the COVID-free localities in Pampanga went down to five on Jan. 4 from 18 on Dec. 27. Only Magalang, Lubao, Porac, Sasmuan, and Santo Tomas towns had no active infections.
The City of San Fernando has the most active cases at 58 after it recorded 29 new ones on Tuesday, followed by Mabalacat City (10), and Macabebe town (9).
Pampanga has registered 46,713 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of these, 44,103 had recovered while 2,487 had died.
