Adlawan shines in Keiz motocross
Jon Eleazar Adlawan reaffirmed his status as the province’s top motocross racer after dominating last weekend’s fifth leg of the Keiz BJ-Phoenix Cyclomax Titan Motocross Competition at the Upper Pagsabungan in Mandaue City.
The 20-year-old Adlawan topped the centerpiece Expert and Pro-open classes.
In the Expert division, Adlawan outraced Juvenile Abellar, Winsor Famorca and Cyril Tariman who grabbed the next three spots while Kimboy Pineda came in fifth.
In the Pro-open division, Adlawan also relegated Abellar to second place followed by Pineda and Famorca in third and fourth spots, respectively.
Meanwhile, Jun Enriquez lorded the Executive A and Special Selection categories with Russell Gungob finishing second in both divisions.
In the Executive B, Titing Sicad finished first followed by Dandan Gastador and Islao Lacson while Tariman did not go home empty handed after topping the Intermediate division with Fil-Am Scott Remy and JR Raba finishing second and third, respectively.
Article continues after this advertisementJan Baluyos ruled the Beginners Open production with Ray Quirol and JR Gualiza taking runner-up honors while Denmark Supatan topped the Special selection of the Beginners class followed by JP Cuesta and Andrie Gastador.
Article continues after this advertisementSiblings JP and RK Cuesta dominated the mini class 85 and 65 cc divisions, respectively while Celso Cabrillas topped the habal-habal (underbone) class. PJ Galea ruled the peewee division followed by Kenken Ornopia in second and Gyle Gastador in third place. Rowell Marano topped the “Wanggits” (veteran) division.
Around a hundred riders competed in the race which was held in line with last weekend’s fiesta celebration of the “Our Lady of Lourdes.”
