MANILA, Philippines — Former senator JV Ejercito revealed Monday that he has tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
“Ingat ingat lang Omicron is here! Tested positive for the very first time!” Ejercito said in a message to reporters.
“Pero it’s mild, after 2 days wala na ako fever or other symptoms,” he said.
Ejercito, who is seeking a Senate comeback in the May 2022 elections, said he tested positive for the new coronavirus last Friday.
His parents – former President Joseph Estrada and former San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez – had also contracted COVID-19.
