79 of 142 takers pass December 2021 Geologist Licensure Examination

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 79 of 142 passed the December 2021 Geologist Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Wednesday.

Patrick Henry Garcia Ludovice of the Partido State University was the topnotcher with a score of 82.2 percent.

Tied in second place are Jared Archon Barreras Gapatan from Mapua University in Manila and Meyrick Ubalde Tablizo from University of the Philippines in Diliman — both of whom scored 81.3 percent.

In third place is Emil Genevian De La Torre Trillana from Adamson University who scored 80.3 percent.

FEATURED STORIES

The PRC did not release a list of top-performing schools. But UP Diliman had the highest passing rate of 84 percent with 21 out of 25 examinees passing.

It is followed by Adamson University with a 68.57 passing rate, or 24 of 35 students passed, and Mapua University with 59.38 percent, or 19 of 32 students passed.

The exams were conducted at testing centers in Metro Manila by the Board of Geology from Dec. 27 to 29.

The exams also happened to be the pilot program for the computer-based licensure exams of the PRC that allowed it to release the results in just a day.
