Woman with Alzheimer’s Disease missing in Oriental Mindoro town

CITY OF CALAPAN––Authorities are looking for a woman with Alzheimer’s Disease, who had been missing since Christmas Day, in Pola, Oriental Mindoro, according to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO).

John Genabe, Pola MDRRM officer, reported Monday morning to the Provincial DRRMO that Josefina Perlas, 57, disappeared on Dec. 25 when she and her husband went up the hill at sitio (sub-village) Sampaloc to bring their animals to shelter.

Her husband left her to fetch their animals, but when he returned, his wife was missing. The couple is from Barangay Campamento.

FEATURED STORIES

The MDRRMO had been on search-rescue-and-retrieval operations with village officials, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team, and villagers since Dec. 25.

As of Monday, the woman is yet to be found.
