Pampanga logs no new COVID-19 cases in 3 days

No new COVID-19 cases were registered in this province from December 23 to 25 as active cases plunged to only five as of Saturday.

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — No new COVID-19 cases were registered in this province from December 23 to 25 as active cases plunged to only five as of Saturday, data from the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU) show.

In its latest bulletin, PESU also recorded zero new recoveries and no deaths.

Only four of Pampanga’s 21 localities have active COVID-19 cases. These include Mabalacat City (2), Guagua (1), Masantol (1) and Santa Ana (1).

The province has recorded a total of 46,589 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 44,098 have recovered while 2,486 died.

The data do not cover the highly urbanized Angeles City which is politically independent of Pampanga.

Angeles City is currently COVID-free after the lone patient from Pampang village recovered from the disease on December 24.

Since the pandemic started last year, the city registered a total of 12,550 COVID-19 cases of which 12,031 have recovered and 519 had died.
