OLONGAPO CITY — City Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. on Thursday lifted the curfew in the city in time for Christmas and New Year to allow residents to enjoy the holiday season.
In an executive order, Paulino said there will be no curfew in the city from Dec. 24 to 25 and Dec. 31 to Jan. 1.
He said the move was “in spirit of the holiday season and to give everyone the chance to celebrate the Christmas season and New Year’s festivities.”
Olongapo city has been enforcing a curfew from 12 midnight to 4 a.m. as precaution against the spread of COVID-19.
Relaxing the health protocols was due to the improving COVID-19 situation in the city.
