French-donated 810,810 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses arrive in PH

MANILA, Philippines — The French government’s donation of 810,810 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses arrived in the country on Wednesday.

The National Task Force Against COVID-19 said that the doses were coursed through the Covax Facility.

The anti-COVID shots were transported via Air Hong Kong flight LD456, which landed around 9 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

France also donated 1,697,000 doses of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday.

As of December 21, the Philippines received a total of 192,344,945 various COVID-19 vaccines since deliveries began in February.

Of these, 102,988,677 were administered, data from the Department of Health showed.

To date, 45.2 million individuals are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
