MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — At least 10 students of Camp Olivas Elementary School in the City of San Fernando received mobile internet tablets from Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said on Saturday, Dec. 18.

Aside from the tablets, the PRO3 said the Central Luzon police director also distributed food packs to some parents and treated the teachers and students with meals during their Christmas party on Dec. 17.

A staff of the PRO3 public information office said that those who received free mobile tablets belong to financially challenged families who could not afford to buy internet gadgets for their children’s online studies.

She said the gift-giving activity was a part of Baccay’s “Adopt a school project,” which aims to assist poor but deserving public school students with their educational needs.

In a statement, Camp Olivas Elementary School principal Leonard Lobo thanked Baccay for the assistance given to students and parents.

For his part, Baccay urged the students to study well and always listen to their parents.
