Thief carts away P2-M cash, jewelries from trader’s home in Daet

LEGAZPI CITY – Police are in pursuit of a female thief who carted away an estimate P2 million worth of cash and valuables from a the residence of a businesswoman Saturday afternoon in Daet, Camarines Norte.

The suspect was identified as Virginia Bolocon, 45, resident of Barangay (village) Lalawigan in Mercedes town, according to Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.

Janet Nael, 43, businesswoman, complained to the police that her home was burglarized and the she lost P1.5 million cash and P500,000 worth of jewelries at around 8 p.m. Saturday.

A security camera installed at the victim’s house recorded the suspect forcibly destroying the backdoor and carting away the money and valuables.

Probers were able to identify the suspect and tracked her down to her known address but she was no longer around.
