MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is set to receive around 10 million COVID-19 vaccines on Wednesday, the highest single-day vaccine arrivals.
The National Task Force Against (NTF) Against COVID-19 said that the country is expecting six deliveries of various COVID-19 vaccines—a mix of donation and procurement of the government and the private sector.
The following is the breakdown of the deliveries this day:
- 214,500 AstraZeneca vaccine doses (donated by the United Kingdom government)
- 856,800 Moderna vaccine doses (donated by German government through the Covax Facility)
- 2,840,100 Moderna vaccine doses (donated by German government through the Covax Facility)
- 1,187,550 Pfizer vaccine doses (government-procured through the Asian Development Bank)
- 2,249,400 AstraZeneca vaccine doses (procured by the private sector)
- 3,055,200 Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses (donated by the Dutch government)
On Tuesday, around eight million COVID-19 vaccine doses—donated by France, Spain, China, Sweden, Austria, and the Netherlands—arrived in the country.
As of December 14, a total of 166,851,720 doses of various COVID-19 vaccines were transported to the Philippines since deliveries started in February.
