1 dead, another hurt as training plane crashes in Alaminos City

A two-seater training plane crashed Wednesday morning into a fishpond in Alaminos City, killing its pilot instructor, authorities said.

DAGUPAN CITY––A two-seater training plane crashed Wednesday morning into a fishpond in Alaminos City, killing its pilot instructor, authorities said.

Initial reports from the local police identified the fatality as Capt. Daryl Uy. The 21-year-old student pilot, identified as Caran France Kaura, suffered injuries and was taken to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital.

Investigators said the fixed-wing training aircraft with body number RP-C8202 crashed at 9:20 a.m. at Sitio Paradise in Barangay Telbang.
