Negros Occ provincial park now open to public

BACOLOD CITY The Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol Park and Lagoon in Bacolod City was reopened to people of all ages starting Monday, December 13.

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson issued Executive Order No. 21-57 on Monday, implementing new guidelines under Alert Level 2 for the park, which will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The park will be allowed up to 70 percent outdoor venue capacity to cater to individuals, regardless of vaccination status, he said.

Minimum public health standards prescribed by the Department of Health will be strictly enforced at all times.

Temperature checks in order to enter the park and observance of physical distancing and wearing of masks inside are required.

The Provincial Incident Management Team has been designated as the Implementation Committee to ensure compliance with health protocols at the park, Lacson said.

“All persons and or establishments who do not comply with the EO will face appropriate administrative and/or criminal sanctions,” he said.
