LUCENA CITY––Amid the continued drop in active COVID-19 cases in Quezon, at least 28 of 41 localities in the province no longer have any COVID-19 patients as of Dec. 13, health authorities reported Tuesday.

Provincial health data show four towns (Unisan, Real, Buenavista, and Atimonan) have one remaining infection each; five (Candelaria, Pagbilao, Lopez, Mauban, and San Antonio) have two each; two (Tayabas City and Polillo) have four each, and Guinayangan has six.

Lucena City, Quezon’s capital, topped the list with 19 active virus carriers, a big decline from the highest single-day tally of 572 on Oct. 13.
