CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — A 44-year-old trader was found dead inside her house at Barangay Alibagu in this city on Monday morning, police said.
Lt. Col. Benjamin Balais, Ilagan City police chief, said they have yet to confirm the cause of Maricar Gumiran’s death. Gumiran was a grocery store owner.
In an interview, Balais said Gumiran had been unresponsive to calls from her relatives, prompting them to personally check on her.
Balais said the relatives discovered Gumiran’s bloodied body inside her house.
Police were still investigating the incident and were looking into a possible robbery. INQ
